What Is There Today?
Similar to Plaza Singapura, this public space is becoming
a popular crowd-drawing destination towards the southern
end of Orchard Road, with its numerous restaurants and
cafes.
This spacious pedestrian mall, together with the open
plaza at Plaza Singapura, is designed as a continuous
covered space, integrated with the Dhoby Ghaut MRT to
give commuters a seamless spatial experience.
Did You Know?
The pedestrian mall was built over the Stamford Canal.
When Plaza Singapura underwent the recent revamp, the
road between Plaza Singapura and Atrium@Orchard was closed
to traffic and paved over to create the continuous open
plaza we enjoy today.
