Location:
Raffles Place
What Is There Today?
The spacious covered plaza, linking Raffles Place and Boat Quay, is also a view corridor framing the picturesque vista of national monuments like Victoria Theatre , Supreme Court and the Asian Civilisations Museum in the Civic District on the opposite bank of Singapore River.
On working days, office-attired crowd traversing hurriedly through the plaza is a common sight. Come evenings or weekends, the tempo winds down and you will see people strolling, sitting on benches or steps of the river-wall, enjoying a relaxed moment.
You can also find the sculptures Homage to Newton by Salvador Dali in the plaza and Bird by Fernando Botero along the river promenade. Did You Know?
Just like One Fullerton, the view corridor is a planning intention to ensure that views of Singapore River and the Civic District can be enjoyed from Market Street and Chulia Street.
