What Is There Today?

The open piazza is a welcomed public space in the Robertson Quay area for people to meet. In the early evenings, prams-pushing housewives would congregate here for a chat and the piazza transforms into a play-space for crawling toddlers and running kids. Benches in the piazza are well utilised by visitors, out to enjoy the serene setting.

Did You Know?

In the early 1990s, when URA began selling parcels of land for new developments in Robertson Quay , urban design guidelines were established to guide these developments. The results is seen today in the unique urban landscapes that is keeping with the intimate scale of the river. New buildings fronting the river are guided to a height of four storeys to relate to the old warehouses and create a tight river edge that defines the promenade. The area has developed into a tranquil riverside setting with residential, hotel and commercial uses today.
